Grade Contribution: This project will contribute 30% of your grade for the Database Portion of the class. 

Instructions

This assignment addresses: 

Module Objectives:
  1. What is a database 
  2. How to use MS Access (overview)
  3. Database Maintenance (basic)
  4. Database objects
  5. Relationships - What connects tables (basic)
Course Learning Outcomes:
  1. Navigate program menus/ribbon elements, screen manipulation, drafting/printing/copying work using databases
  2. Understand and apply basic database maintenance
  3. Define relationships between tables including one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many

Steps for Completing the Assignment:

  • Download the attached 'Module Access 1 Assignment.pdf' file and go over the instructions included
  • Name your database: Lastname_Firstname_Access_Practice1 <- use your last and first name.
  • Complete the assignment using the MS Access software. 
  • Create a zip file of the MS Access database submit to your instructor via email. The zip file should be named Lastname_Firstname_Access_Practice1.zip <- use your last and first name.
    • Note that if the file is too large, email a OneDrive link to the zip file to your instructor. 
  • EMAIL YOUR INSTRUCTOR ASAP IF YOU RUN INTO ANY ISSUES. DO NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE!
