Welcome to the online course on Digital Entrepreneurship!
The aim of this course is to support you in the development of your personal digital entrepreneurial skillset. Digital entrepreneurship encompasses all kinds of businesses that operate (partially) online, such as e-commerce, content creation (blogs, vlogs, etc.), freelancing and many more. This course is designed to introduce you to the concept, benefits, opportunities and challenges of digital entrepreneurship, and to guide you through the process of starting your own digital business. You will also learn how to create and manage digital content and products that will attract and satisfy your customers.
This course consists of three modules, each covering a different aspect of digital entrepreneurship. Here is a brief overview of what you will learn in each module:

Module A - General Introduction : What is Digital Entrepreneurship? In this module, you will learn what digital entrepreneurship is, how it differs from traditional entrepreneurship, and what types of digital entrepreneurship exist. You will also explore the advantages and disadvantages of becoming a digital entrepreneur and see some examples of successful digital entrepreneurs from different sectors and countries.

Module B - How To Start Your Own Digital Business? In this module, you will learn the key steps and skills for starting a digital business, from developing a business plan and an e-commerce strategy, to finding financial support, to choosing a web developer and a business type. You will also learn about the complexity of cross-border e-commerce, and what makes a successful digital business.

Module C - Your Offer: Digital Content and Product Creation. In this module, you will learn how to create and manage a good business website, from choosing a domain name and a website design, to optimizing your website for search engines and user experience, to complying with the GDPR regulations. You will also learn how to develop and distribute digital content and products, from choosing the right types and formats of content, to creating a content plan and a social media strategy.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Define and explain the concept and types of digital entrepreneurship.
- Identify and evaluate the benefits, opportunities and challenges of digital entrepreneurship
- Compare and contrast digital entrepreneurship and traditional entrepreneurship
- Recognize and analyze the examples of successful digital entrepreneurs
- Know the key steps and skills for starting a digital business
- Develop a business plan for a digital business
- Choose a web developer and a business type for a digital business
- Create and manage a good business website
- Optimize your website for user experience
- Grasp the importance of the GDPR regulations
- Develop and distribute digital content and products
- Create a content plan and a social media strategy

You will an understanding of critical aspects such as business planning, e-commerce strategy, financial planning, support measures, web development, and business type selection. The module emphasizes practical considerations, strategic thinking and the development of the necessary skills to effectively start and manage a digital business.
You will learn:
- The importance of thorough preparation for a successful launch
- Develop a business plan aligned with common objectives.
- Formulate a clear e-commerce strategy for enhanced online presence.
- Recognize the importance of collaborating with external specialists.
- Complexities in selling beyond borders.
- Understanding the online business types

You will discover the basics of a good business website, such as choosing your domain name, building your website, making it user friendly, and complying with GDPR. You will also explore the different types of digital content and how to develop a content plan and a social media strategy. Finally, you will see a case study of a successful digital product launch: Typology Paris’ Tinted Lip Oil.
You will learn:
- Building a website with attention to structure, design, and user-friendliness.
- Grasp the significance of GDPR in website development.
- Understand how SEO impacts website traffic and visibility.
- Implement best practices for creating a user-friendly website.
